REACTIVE LIVE VIDEO STILLS from 2005. These are stills of images that react to sounds in the room where the images are being projected. For example, the loudness of the bass frequencies of music might drive an animated drawing, where soft bass makes a small simple shape and loud bass makes a large and complex one.
Some of the drawings in this mix were made by San Francisco artist Damon Soule, we developed some audio reactive animations together for a show called "Synaesthesiologists" at Film Society of Lincoln Center. Some older video stills are housed at Somnaut.com archive. |
